OSUDemocracy’s intercultural events unite Canadian communities through art, exhibitions, performances, and presentations that promote democracy and historical awareness. The non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting unity, intercultural democracy in Canada, and sustaining support for Ukraine until its victory and full reconstruction.

OSUDemocracy Awards have been presented annually during OSUDemocracy’s anniversary celebrations on February 28 since 2022. The awards recognize local Canadians and other nationals who make a difference through their contributions to local and global communities, support for democratic values, promotion of Canadian unity, efforts to combat disinformation, and commitment to supporting Ukraine.

OSUDemocracy has taken initiatives to combat disinformation through advocacy efforts, including sending letters to decision-makers, launching public petitions, and engaging with media institutions. Currently, OSUDemocracy is leading the “C’est Kyïv en français” campaign, calling on Radio-Canada to stop using the Russian transliteration of Ukraine’s capital and to adopt the Ukrainian toponym “Kyïv” in French.

OSUD News is operated by OSUD Inc., a separate for-profit media corporation. OSUD News shares a commitment to promoting democratic values, intercultural dialogue, and reliable information while maintaining a distinct legal and operational structure from OSUDemocracy, a non-profit organization. OSUD News is planned for launch in 2026.
